Help me please!

I'm modeling a shoe (high heels) in 3DS Max, but I wanted to know one thing. Do I have to create in DAZ an OBJ of the character (Example: Genesis 2 Female) to export to the 3DS Max or can I model the shoe first without needing the model as a base? Thank you very much! :D

The shoe needs to line up with the base figure before it can be rigged (there are ways to use a posed figure, but you can't just model a free-floating shoe and have it work).

  • So I need to export the model first, and so model the shoe based on the model?

If yes, what is the best program for modeling shoes and clothes?

    Thx again :D

Yes, modelling around the figure is the easiest way to work. The best modeller is the one you are most conformatable with - people use a wide range of tools.
