Where are the updates???

in Technical Help (nuts n bolts)

I am running Carrara 7.2 Studio Pro. It is running very slow and I had the fonts disappear .I was able to fix the font issue by changing the preferences file.

But, where are the updates??

I downloaded the Download Manager hoping that's how to get to updates but I IT WON'T INSTALL.  It can't create folders, etc. in the applications folder.

 

Please help. I am on MacOS 10.11.6
