[SOLVED!] New Rig w/ 2x 1080 GTX; 100% CPU usage / Slow Render Times / Black Screens?

So I recently built a new rendering rig. Here's a list of parts I used for reference: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hcKLBP I cannibalized my old hard drive (2TB with Daz Content Library) and SSD (250G? 500G?) from my older system, not sure if that would play a factor in any of this.
Daz opens up just fine. I can navigate around the viewport without any latency issues. In my render settings, both of my GTX 1080s are recognised and on the NVidia control panel, SLI is definitely in effect and its set to max performance. But here's the thing:
So I opened up some of my more complex scenes with multiple human figures (that would have taken well over 12 hours to render on my old rig with my GTX 760) and attempt to render with Iray. It goes on for a few minutes before my entire computer crashes, forcing it to restart. I opened up Task Manager upon start-up and observed the performance levels of Daz with only two figures in a scene and an HDR Environment Map. Operates below 10% of CPU without rendering. But as soon as I render into a window, CPU climbs up to around 100% and ultimately fluctuates around 98%. I checked temperature readings and everything is safely within the set parameters, and I swear my case is as cold as a fridgerator. I tried deselecting CPU from the Render Settings but then Iray doesn't render at all, instead giving me a black screen and a "completed" render.
Whenever I do manage to keep a render sustained, it still feels slow. There's an improvement from my GTX 760, but it's no where near the speed that I was expecting to get from 2x 1080 GTX.
Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you everyone for your time, consideration, and patience.

Are you certain you are using the latest version of Daz Studio as only 4.9.3.166 supports Pascal cards - I do seem to remember getting the black renders from the older version of Daz before the 1080 card was supported although I did not get any crashing it just used CPU
You could also check you have the latest Nvidia Driver installed - I am using 382.05 which seems to work fine with iray for me
That actually might be it. When I transferred to my new computer, obviously DazStudio would already be installed so I could very well being using an outdated version. I'm away from my computer at the moment so I cannot verify at this time, but when I ran a search for other versions of Daz on my computer, I believe I was still using the beta version (don't know if that's still a thing). I hope you're right and I'm excited to give this a shot.
Upon start-up I also ensured the latest Nvidia Drivers were updated as well. Unfortunately, I still can't check at the moment but I sincerely appreciate your insight. Crossing my fingers. I'll make sure to return later with new information!
And, of course, if anyone else has any ideas or suggestions, I'd be happy to listen. Thank you again Tottallou!
So as it turns out I did NOT have the most updated version of Daz. But now a new problem shows up. I can't pull up my old content directories and I get the "A valid PostgreSLE CMS connection cannot be estalished error message." Sighs. I've looked everywhere online and nothing I find is working for me.
There is this Daz Official Answer to this
https://helpdaz.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/207812393-PostgreSQL-Connection-Error-and-No-Smart-Content
As far as I know You should still be able to see & use your old DIM/Manual content (Just not smart content & connect) if you have your libraries added under
Edit - Preferences - Content - Content Directory Manager
I hope you get it working soon as there is nothing worse than having good equipment & not being able to try it out with a render :(
Thank you so much for your help. Although I wasn't able to fix the start up error message, somehow my old library was able to migrate into Smart Content.. somehow? Lol Furthermore, I did go into the content manager when I realized that the my internal hard drive now no longer began with (D:). So I finally added the "new" directory and now everything works lovely for me. <3 The start-up Postgre error still pops up, but it's hardly a detrimate considering all of my old content and scenes are properly migrated now. CPU usage dropped to 20-30%. Computer stops crashing. And now my render times are faster than ever!
Thank you so much for all your help. I truly appreciate it. I wish I could give you a 'thumbs up' or positive review or karma points or something!
