Just looking at Space Navigator Mouse here:

Looks interesting to use with DAZ Studio.
Does anyone know if it will work with DS 4.

Thanks

Currently I am also thinking about to buy a SpaceNavigator - as far as I've found it should work well with DS4.

Now I am wondering if it will also work when using a Mac...

I have one, and hate to be without it. Highly, highly recommended. I'm on 4.5, in windows 7.

Great news that it works with DA 4.5.

    Thanks.

Hmmm, now I've got the SpaceNavigator, but it doesn't work with DAZ Studio - tried it with Poser and there it works.

Have you disabled some plugins within Dazstudio ? Or tried to reinstall the drivers ? Daz studio 3 up to 4.5 work perfectly with that 3d mouse. I suggest you uninstall Daz-Studio, reinstall the latest version and you do the same with the 3d connexion-drivers.

Well, I think it's more simple - just noticed that there is only official support for DAZ Studio at Windows, I am using a Mac.

I just got a SpaceNavigator. Definitely going to take some time to learn to use it, as it needs a very light touch! It looks like usage of it in DAZ is just relying on standard Windows WM_ 3D mouse messages, though, rather than being fully integrated via the SDK. The most annoying aspect of this is that the control panel for the 3D mouse doesn't recognize Studio as a separate app, so it just uses the default 'any application" settings. Thus, you can't customize actions specifically for Studio.

Studio also responds to the 3d mouse even when it's not the active application, which strikes me as a bug.

Still, I think this will be a handy addition for Studio.

That does appear to be the case. It does work in Poser, however it seems to lock up. Very annoying on both counts.
