How Do I Remove A Figure's Chin Cleft? (Solved!)

PipefoxPipefox Posts: 113

I'm not very fond of cleft chins. I'm looking under Shaping > Face and I have a a slider that increases the cleft, but I don't see a way to decrease or remove it.

Can anyone offer any instructions of suggestions?

Thank you!

It depends on how the model was made. If the models cleft was dialed in you should be able to dial it out.  If that doesn't work you can remove the limits on the parameter and see if you can dial it lower to see if that has any result.  As last result you can zero the head shape and choose another head without a cleft.

You can also use mesh manipulation brushes to remove the chin cleft feature in programs such as Zbrush (expensive) or Blender (free); essentially you make a new morph which removes the feature. Or you could ask DAZ3d to include simple mesh manipulation brushes as standard in DS or via a plugin, then you could make such minor changes on the fly to any character or clothing or hair.

Removing the limits and dialing it lower worked great. Thanks again, Serene Night! :)
