Shadows from hidden objects - Outdoor Photo Shoot Props product

Hi! So I'm using the Outdoor Photo Shoot Props product and everything is great except that, when I use the 'Aimer off' option, the Aimer does in fact disappear but it continues to cast shadows on the wall and subject.
This occurs when I reduce the Cutout opacity of any object as well... though it is no longer visible it still casts a shadow. Is there some way to prevent that?
Thanks! (And sorry if this question has been answered before, I searched but wasn't able to find it having been addressed before.)

If thje items are bones use their visibility control (button in the Parameters pane under Display, or the eye icon next to the bone in the Scene pane) rather than adjusting opacity. Though I wouldn't expect an item hidden via cutout opacity to cast shadows so make sure there isn't something else causing the shadow.
Doesn't look like they are bones, unfortunately. Tried this, didn't work. That's a bummer. This is a great prop set, but if there is no way to hide the shadows cast by the 'aimer' then it is useless.
Also, I checked, and the shadow is definitely getting cast by the aimer, there's nothing else in the scene at this point except the aimers and the background wall/floor.
Thanks for your suggestion, though!
