Head morphs

I purchased Genesis 3 Female Head Morph Resource Kit 3 to make custom faces and once I have finished making the face and go to give them expressions they always come out looking wonky. Is there something I am doing wrong. liike with the photo i have attached, his lips are all weird with the bottom lip being flat and his cheek creasing too much at the end.

How are you creating expressions? Do the same settings look OK on a version of the figure with the default shape?

Richard didn't mention specifically, but once you start messing with the shapes any canned expressions can start looking "wonky," to say the least. When they create those expressions, they're either for a specific character with a specific face shape, or the generic G3 character. You've changed the shape of the face, so those expressions are going to look different on your custom character. You can try this by applying the expression first, then adjusting the shape morphs. You'll see that some of the morphs will look quite awkward.

This is one reason why expression sets that come with dials, rather than all-or-nothing presets, are preferred. You can alter the strength of the expression, and hopefully overcome the unwelcome alteration in face shape.

When you don't have expression dials, or the expression doesn't look good even with dials, you will need to go into the individual mouth/face posing controls and make fine-tuning adjustments, to compensate for the morphs that changed your character's face.

BTW, the example you give isn't really all that bad. I've had expressions cause pokethrough of the teeth, lips that disappeared or become so fat you'd think the character just lost a street brawl.
