Why settle for anything less than Meshias ??
I'm not in a position to confirm or deny any speculation ;)
Good point!
No, I will always try and put her before work.. like I said, she's usually doing stuff anyway, in which case I can't bear to just sit and do nothing.
lol.. loving the nicknames peeps, keep them coming :)
Played with the deco set for the PC Weekly:
Looks pretty cool.. and with those effects on it, must say it looks pretty authentic..
To the Gents Club!
Awesome work on the Classic Deco Jack! Certainly one of your best!
Well, I'm not sure if I should post this one, but Richard will judge that! ^_-
"I said: NO...MORE...GAMES!"
Cheers Akhbour! Nice to see you posting :)
Nice render ;)
Akhbour, great one, glad I saw it before Richard did... ;-)
Thanks guys, there is another one cooking! ^_^
And here it comes:
Nice work mate :)
Thanks Jack, but now I feel I should do something more serious with this set, just to make it really "shine" as it should! ^_-
Btw, what about a shiny Art Deco entrance?
An Art Deco door in that missing fourth wall would be nice!

I have a few more things planned, so hopefully if the set proves popular I can continue :)
And a beauty shot!
The background is from Apartment 39, photoshopped to turn the image into a night shot. The reflection on the window is turned up to 100%. The reflection of the floor is up to 20%. On the wall clock and the vase I used one of my bronze like shaders, for the metallic lamp stands, the table bars and the borders of the chairs I used chrome and added finally a glossy red shader to the rest of the chairs.
I used the AreaLight shader on all lampglass surfaces (no other lights), ambient on, white 100%. Sample rate at 32, the intensity of the ceiling lamp is at 50%, all other lamps at 30%. And finally a bit of Photoshop for the halos of the lights (wand selection, new layer, filled with pure white, unselect, gaussian blur of 8 and blend mode to Screen).
And not to forget the duplicated sidewall to close the scene and the have something to reflect in the window.
Really enjoying your renders Peter. And thanks for explaining how you've achieved some of the finishes, which is helpful info for dullards such as myself!
Keep 'em coming :)

Heaven Preserve Us!!!!
I just noticed how many posts you've made, and my blood ran cold.
But then it could explain why your work is so exemplary, and why you're so prolific. Maybe you've got a whole Robert Johnson thing going on...........
:bug:
It doesn't show much of the room, but it does have the chair and that magnificent window (all with Sarsa's textures)! :D

Yay! So, here I was trying for "shine" -- not sure I managed it, but it was sure fun! DS4.5Pro render, prework and postwork in GIMP.
